The 2021 Culture Night will take place on Friday 17th September across Ireland and Mayo alike.

The Culture Night is an occasion to showcase the wealth and variety of cultural activity that exists in Mayo celebrating the county’s excellent cultural reputation on a national platform.

The initiative had been welcomed by both the public imagination and the enthusiasm of artists and cultural organisations from rom independent studios and art-spaces to national cultural institutions.

Again, due to Covid-19, Culture Night will be different. Many events will take place online and some offline.

Events for 2021 include:

• Scoil Acla, Ceol, Craic agus Cultúr, from 8pm to 9.30pm, online.

• Admiral Brown Comhaltas, Music, Song and Dance from Foxford from 7.30pm to 8pm, online.

• Ionadú Re: Place, Áras Inis Gluaire, from  6pm to 8pm, Church St, Belmullet.

• Comparisons - Female Composers and Female Writers,Book at One Louisburgh, from 7pm to 7.30pm, online

• Sing for your Supper, Calli Collective and singer Siobhan Kavanagh, from  5pm to 7pm, Cornmarket street, Neal Road, Ballinrobe,

• Concert On The Mall, Castlebar Concert Band, from 6pm to 7pm, The Mall, Castlebar.

• From the mouths of babes @ the crossroads from 3pm to 5pm, Crossroads Community Centre, Cong.

• Traditional Music and Poetry Evening - Between the Lines, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm,Outside Custom House Studios, The Quay, Westport.

• Bodhrán workshop, from 6.00 to 9.00 Glenisland National School, Castlebar.

• Walk ‘n Talk Arts and Creativity, from 5.30pm to 8pm Linenhall Arts Centre, Lough Lannagh, Castlebar.

• An Equal Music: Music for Flute and Piano by Women Composers, Louisburgh Music School, from 7.30pm to 8.15pm, online.

• Celebrating Community Folklore & Traditions, TACU Family Resource Centre, from 6pm to 7pm, online.

• Something for Everyone at Ballinglen, The Ballinglen Museum and Arts Foundation, from 5pm to 7pm, online.

• Building Blocks to Multicultural Community, The Non Prophet Organisation, from 7.30pm to 9pm, online.

• Culture Gets You Happy, Westport Jazz, from 9pm to 11pm,  Maddens, Clew Bay Hotel, James Street, Westport.

• Guided walk of Tóchar Daithí Bán Trail accompanied by poetry and live music, from 7.30 to 9.00, Ballycroy Visitor Centre.
