Culture Night 2026 will take place on Friday, 18 September, with events happening across Ireland, including towns, villages and rural communities throughout Mayo.

The annual celebration will showcase the richness and diversity of Irish culture through arts, creativity and community events. People of all ages will have the opportunity to enjoy a wide range of free cultural experiences in welcoming, local settings.

Following the success of last year’s “One Night for All” theme, which saw more than 1,800 free events take place across Ireland, the Arts Council, in partnership with Local Authorities nationwide and with support from the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport, has decided to continue the theme for a second year.

Culture Night also encourages openness, discovery and celebration, while creating opportunities for people to connect with their communities and develop a strong sense of belonging.
