Food Fleadh Ballina

The 2019 Food Fleadh Ballina is running from Thursday 26th September to Sunday 29th September in the historic Old Military Quarter.
The festival is a fabulous event that caters for food lovers and families alike.
This year the focus is on the River Moy and the local seafood.
Visitors will enjoy food market, cookery demos, craft brews, lifestyle marquee, children’s workshops, fishing, tours, dining trilogy, live music and much more.
There will also be seafood foraging trips in Killala and on Bartra Island where participants will collect cockles, mussels and samphire and return afterwards to Killala to cook their catch.
Here are some highlights of the festival:

The Connacht Whiskey Company and Clarke’s Salmon Smokery will open their doors to visitors sharing their secrets.

Children will enjoy cookery classes, the Children’s River Ecology Workshop and the ‘Gardening 4 Kids’ session.

Courtyard Trilogy Experience will offer three-course food trail adventure celebrating Irish, Indian and Nepalese food fusion.

The Yeast Meets West Craft Brew Fest will offer the Craft Brew Wall featuring some of the most relevant local breweries.

Anglers will enjoy the festival fishing on the Ballina Salmon Anglers’ beat and competing in the Last Cast Fishing Competition.
- Live music will accompany the event throughout the day making a real festival atmosphere featuring the Local Voices Stage in conjunction with Other Voices.
