The 2026 Mary Robinson Climate and Nature Conference will take place in Ballina on Thursday 9 July and Friday 10 July.

This year's theme, "Food and Care: A Meitheal for Our Time," draws inspiration from the old Irish tradition of the meitheal—a practice in which neighbours come together to work the land, sharing labour, knowledge, and care for the benefit of all.

Reflecting this spirit of collaboration, the conference will bring together a diverse range of voices to explore an important question: What becomes possible when researchers, community groups, farmers, climate scientists, biodiversity experts, artists, and carers work side by side, listening to one another as equals?

The conference will be hosted across two main venues, both autism friendly: St. Mary's Secondary School and the Mary Robinson Centre.
