The 2026 National Novena will take place at Our Lady of Knock from Thursday, August 13th, to Friday, August 21st, inclusive.

This year's theme will be 'Sheltered in God’s Love’and mark the 50th anniversary of the opening of Knock Basilica.

In the Basilica, the Novena Ceremonies will take place at 3 pm followed by Rosary Procession and at 8 pm followed by Candlelight Procession .

In St. John’s Welcome Centre, daily workshops with guest facilitators will take place at 12.45 pm to allow participants to reflect deeper on the theme of the day.

Also, Themed Guided Tours sessions will take place beginning at the information centre.

Each day, there will be Guest Speakers who will deliver speeches about this year’s theme.

“Faith in the Era of AI”, Sandra Cullen at 8 pm.

Monday 17th August

“From Mass to Meadow:Living Our Faith Outdoors”, Sheila Murphy, at 3pm and 8pm.

Tuesday 18th August

“Faith in My Pocket”, Mario Nunis at 3 pm and 8 pm.

Wednesday 19th August

“Enjoy Your Life-Make it Happen”, David Wells, at 3 pm and 8 pm.

Thursday 20th August

“A Church For Everyone” Deacon Mark Paine, at 3 pm and 8 pm.

This last speech will be followed by Celebration of the anniversary of the Knock Apparition.
