RoolaBoola is one of the leading children’s arts festivals in Ireland. This amusing event takes place annually in Castlebar at the Linehall Arts Centre.

The 2026 event runs from Saturday 17th October and to the bank holiday weekend at the end of the month .

The celebrations include a selection of the highest calibre national and international children's theatre, music and dance shows as well as other arts events, including children’s book readings, exhibitions and a multitude of hands-on arts workshops for children aged 2 to 14 years and their families.

The 2026 exciting experience includes:

• Scèal of a Time, with writer and theatre maker Alison Ní Mhairtìn , Saturday 17th October, at 11.30 am
• Listen! Eist! Multilingual Audio Story Installatin, from Saturday 24th to Saturday 31st October, daily during opening hours,
• How to Catch A Star,written by Oliver Jeffers with Branar, Saturday 24th October at 12.30 pm
• Champion Sing-A-Long with Julianne Hennelly, Tuesday 27th October at 12.30 pm
• All Ireland Writing Workshop with Edwin McGrelwith, Tuesday 27th October from 10.30am to 12.00pm
• Lost Socks Art Workshop with Justyna Gruszczyk, Wednesday 28th October at 12.30 pm
• Listen! Eist! Storytelling Workshop, Wednesday 28th October at 2.30 pm
• Family Art Session- Roola Boola Edition with Justyna, Switlana and Victoriia, Thursday 29th October at 10.30am and 12.30pm
