The 2019 Samhain Abhainn Festival will take place from Saturday 26th October to Thursday 31st October in Ballina. This event is now one of the best and scariest Halloween-themed festivals in the West of Ireland.

The Scary Woods Walk, along the dark paths in Belleek Woods, is the biggest and scariest event of the festival and takes place from Saturday to Monday nightly from 7pm to 9pm.

Evil spirits and lost souls will turn the walk into a terrifying and creepy experience.

The programme is fully packed with spooky and hair-raising events for children of all ages and adults alike.

On Friday 25th October the Flow Fancy Dress Disco will kick off the Festival.

On Sunday 27th October there will be the Pumpkin Carving Workshops at 11.00am, 12.30pm, 2.00 pm and 3.30pm in Ballina Stephenites.

On Monday 28th October the Friendly Fiends will take place, it is an opportunity for mini spooks to come and visit Belleek Woods.

On Tuesday 29th October and Wednesday 30th October there will be the Ballina Costume Company Halloween Kids Camps from 9.30pm to 3.00pm and the Spooky Sceals at 12.oopm and 2.00pm at The Jackie Clarke Collection.

The Festival will end on Thursday 31st October with the following events: Hocus Pocus and Cake Bake Sale at 1.00pm, The Core Music Generation until 3.00pm and the Halloween Hoots at the Jackie Clarke Collection.
