Ballina Town is hosting spike chilling events for the 2026 Halloween Season.

The Spookie Scéals Mini Movie & Monster Tales will take place at the Jackie Clarke Museum of Irish History on Saturday 31st October 2026 at 11 am and 3 pm.

The event includes a chilling short horror movie and interactive spooky readings that will drag the participants into haunted forests, restless ghosts, and a realm of sinister secrets and magic.

Stories of Samhain will take place in the Leigue Cemetery on Saturday 31st October at 4 pm. The event is a journey into the ancient traditions, eerie folklore and haunting tales of Halloween. Participants will discover the magic of this mysterious time of year, when the veil between the world of the living and the world of the dead is said to grow thin, and the spirits of Samhain come alive.

The Ballina Dragons Boats will finish their season in a spooktacular way on Sunday 1st November from 9 am to 12 pm on the River Moy.

Dragon boats will take to the water alongside mythical characters including Gráine Mhaol and Medb’s Dragon Warriors.
