Siamsa Sraide Street & Arts Festival 2025

The 2025 Siamsa Sraide Street & Arts Festival will run from Thursday 31st July to Monday 6th August in Swinford.
The town's streets will be full of fun, entertainment, and music on stage or on the streets. The event will cater to all the family.
Also, all festival goers will have the chance to enjoy the company of local Swinford characters in pubs and restaurants.
The festival will kick off at 7 p.m. on Thursday at the Square and celebrate its 41st anniversary with “The Ancient Men”, who will perform traditional Morris Dances from the Cotswolds and play English and Irish traditional music.
A Street Parade will follow.
Among the many events, the most entertaining ones are:
- “The Revolutionary Women of East Mayo and South Sligo, 1918-1923.”
- The Civil War in East Mayo 1922-1923
- “We are not making gone with the wind”, documentary by Paul Cooke about the story of Noreen Cooke.

- Commemorative Famine Mess and Blessing
There will also be exciting workshops: musical, theatre, and performance workshops, traditional music and singing, free Ceili set, and Sean Nos dancing.
