The Traditional New Year’s Day Swim will be held on Thursday, 1st January 2026, on Achill Island.

Participants will meet at Silver Strand Beach, Dugort, at 1:00 pm before taking the plunge into the clear Atlantic waters to welcome the New Year with energy and excitement.

A warm-up session will be available beforehand, and afterwards swimmers can enjoy hot soup and hot chocolate on the beach.
