Ballina Salmon Festival - Food, Arts and Family Fun

From 8th July to 15th July Ballina, the Salmon Capital of Ireland, hosts this very popular and family friendly festival, that, this year, it is expected to be one of the biggest.
The Ballina Salmon Festival includes the Heritage Day, where visitors can see craftspeople display their trades of tinsmiths, thatching, butter making, woodturning and blacksmithing and on Saturday at 11 pm in Cathedral Road, overlooking the River Moy, the best Fireworks Display in the West.
The Festival also offers different daily programmes of events and workshops especially for children, while all over the week delicious food stalls and traditional music make a fantastic atmosphere.
The Festival ends with the favourite for kids Teddy Bears Picnic on Sunday.
