Christmas Magic at the Barracks will run on Saturday, 2nd December and Sunday, 3rd December 2023, in Castlebar.

Block A of the old Military Barracks will be turned into a magical Christmas experience by volunteers from four local groups.

The profits will go to An Feileacain, a non-profit association that supports anyone affected by the death of a baby during or after pregnancy and to Castlebar Celtic Football Club, St Joseph’s Secondary School and Castlebar Foroige.

Children can post letters to Santa in a special letterbox at Frosty Forest and enjoy a magical walk with their families. Elves will be there to serve hot chocolate.

In the cosy sitting room, Mrs. Clause will read stories, and her choir will sing Christmas Carols.

There will also be workshops for Christmas decorations, painting and crafts.

A time slot will be set up on both days for autistic children with light and sound sensitivities.
