Cong Food Village Festival is back and will run Saturday, 8th July and Sunday, 9th July 2023.

It will be bigger and better than ever.

There will be a special Farmer and Craft Market with award-winning producers showcasing all their best products: cheese, honey, chocolates, whiskey, cakes and more.

Food trucks will be set up; the best food will be served there, including burgers, pizzas, crepes, ice cream and vegetarian and vegan options.

Cooking Demos will run throughout the day, welcoming leading chefs from TV to exclusive hotels.

The Newport Shepherds Master Sheepdogs will offer a unique demonstration. Children will be delighted by fun activities created for them: games, face painting, cupcake decorating and the World-Famous Duck Derby.

On Saturday, there will be a tour of the Cong Abbey with Cong Walking Tours, while on Sunday, there will be the Cong Heritage & Nature Walk.

Participants will discover the beauty of Cong, including the old canal, risings of the waters, old turbine/cong jail, salmon hatchery, McNamara’s house, the curlew project and the monks’ fishing house.

Corrib Cruises and Corrib Safari will organise boat trips to the many lake islands.

Danagher’s Hotel will host a Trad Supper with Irish Music and authentic Irish Food.
