The 2024 Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail Festival will take place on Saturday, 27th April, in aid of Croí Heart and Stroke.

The festival will include a one-day guided or self-guided walk along the final section of the Croagh Patrick Heritage Trail, from Aughagower to Murrisk, a distance of 20 kilometres.

The meeting will be at Croagh Patrick Car Park in Murrisk at 8.15 am, and transport will be provided from there to the starting point at Aughagower Community Centre, where registration will occur.

The Walk will commence at 9.30 am. The trail is at the heart of rural West Mayo; it includes many outstanding heritage & historical sites and many features of great natural beauty.

It will wind through woodland, bogs, foresters, fields, boreens, minor roads and mountain tracks, offering participants spectacular rural and coastal views.

Refreshments and lunch will be offered at Brackloon National School from 11.30 am and arrival in Murrisk from 4.00 pm.
