The 35th Siamsa Sraide Street & Arts Festival, meaning “Fun on the Street”, is the quintessential Irish Festival and will run from Friday 2nd August to Wednesday 7th August 2019 in Swinford.

The event is full packed with Traditional Irish Music, Rock Music and Crossroads Céilí (on a wooden platform). It includes street performances, a Heritage Day, street market stalls, indoor country market and the acclaimed International Youth Busking Competitions.

There wil l also be Cheoil Workshops, Creative Dance Workshops, cross border cultural exchange celebrations and much more.

The programme depicts regional and cultural variations typical to east Mayo such as old Harvest Fair Day and Emigrants and Enterprise Day.

There will be also history walks and talks, historical pageant, street parade and performances and a children’s programme.

Sport activities include Duathlon (run-cycle-run), Fun Run under 12 and a Family Fun Children’s cycle.
