Westport Rugby Football Club in Co. Mayo
Founded in 1925 Westport RFC is one of the oldest rugby clubs in Connaught. The club has its own playing pitches and clubhouse, which were opened in 1986,this facility includes a bar and function room.
Westport RFC is unusual in the fact that it incorporates a busy 12 bay golf driving range within its grounds. This is a 12 month a year operation, unlike the rugby season, which runs from September to April.
Westport has two teams playing in Connaught leagues and it participates in underage and schools rugby.
The townland of Carrowholly where the club is situated, is 3 miles from Westport town centre, the grounds also being very close to Westport Golf Club. We give a hearty Westport welcome to visiting teams and enjoy the contest and the entertainment that their visit affords us.
