Contributors Policy
We always welcome guest writers who we will support to help us cover more and more about County Mayo and the West of Ireland.
What Can You Submit and How?
If you would like to submit an article in the topical areas we cover on the Mayo Ireland website please email the text, in an editable document format accompanied by a brief biography, your Twitter username (if you have one) and high-resolution pictures of yourself and potential co-authors to info@mayo-ireland.ie. Please don’t use footnotes, endnotes or references. Instead, please supply hyperlinks (embedded links) for any references where you think this helps.
We only consider articles that are offered to us first and are not under consideration elsewhere. Furthermore, we also reserve the right to make editorial changes before publication. Please be also aware that if your article is accepted for publication you grant us a royalty-free license (including for commercial purposes) to use the article on the Mayo Ireland website and in other Mayo Ireland products worldwide.
As the amount of submitted articles has increased significantly, we ask for your understanding that we cannot provide individual feedback for rejected articles. We would like to encourage women in particular to submit articles as we are aware of the challenge to ensure an adequate gender balance in our publications.
