"Idir dha Sháile" Mullachroe.

A symbolic representation of the life cycle of the whale; metamorphosis from water, to earth, to grave, consisting of eleven incisions in the earth left empty, or filled with stone or water.

Location:

Take the Blacksod road out of Belmullet past Saleen Harbour, EIly Harhour and Elly Bay, take the third road on the left after Elly Bay and drive to Mullaghroe Beach. 100 yards in on the field on the north side of the road is site 'N'.

The North Mayo Sculpture Trail begins in Ballina and follows the coastal route through Killala, Ballycastle, Belderrig, Belmullet and down to Blacksod.
