Deaths

Sympathy is extended to Anona O'Connor, Sea Road on the death of her mother Kitty Lawn, Ballyshannon, Co. Donegal.   Sympathy is also extended to Jerome Chambers, Carrowcubic on the death of his brother Tom Chambers, Newport, Co. Mayo.   May they rest in peace.

Athletic Club

Ballycastle A.C. Operation Transformation 5k walk and run Saturday mornings at 10am from January 17th to February 14th from Ballycastle Community Hall, contact Mike 087 9145551.

AGM will take place on Friday 24th at 8:30pm in the community hall. Juvenile training every Friday in hall at 7pm. Membership now due for 2015, registration on Friday 17th & 24th from 7pm - 8:30pm, new members welcome.

Art Group

Art Group meet in the Resource Centre on Mondays from 2.00 – 5.00p.m. New members welcome.

The basics of painting

The basics of painting with Acrylic, Ballycastle Community Hall, 3 Wednesdays, January 14, 21, 28.  7-9pm. For anyone interested, adults and teenagers doing inter and leaving cert.  

Lead by Nuala Clarke, visual artist.  3 weeks: €40 (or drop-in €15 per class).  Basic materials available, bring whatever you have.

In FEBRUARY: The basics of oil painting.

 

O-55's Club

Over 55's exercise club meet in Suífinn Way Centre on Tuesdays at 11.30a.m.  

Book Club

Book Club meet the last Thursday of every month at 9.00p.m. Contact Mary at 086-8095536.  

Craft Shop

Craft Shop is located in the Resource Centre, Upper Main Street stocking goods by local craftworkers e.g. knitwear, crochet, handmade cards, wooden bowls, cushions, cot quilts, etc.

Ballycastle souvenir items e.g. candles, fridge magnets, keyrings, bookmarks, biros, teabag holders, St. Brigid's crosses, Mayo Crystal and a range of other items.   Other Facilities available : Tourist Information, Photocopying, Laminating, Typing.   Opening Hours: Monday – Friday 10.00a.m. – 5.00p.m. (closed for lunch 1 – 2.00p.m.)

Community Hall

Monday : Bingo at 8.30p.m.

Tuesday: Basketball 5.30p.m. – 6.30p.m. for children aged 8 – 10years and from 6.30 – 7.30p.m. for ages 12 – 14years.

Friday: Athletic Club: Training for young athletes from 7.00p.m. – 8.00p.m

In the event of a person collapsing and becoming unresponsive:

                   1. Call 999 (landline) or 112 (mobile)                    2. Call local Defibrillator Responder on                        A) 086-257-6771 or B) 086-257-6772                    3. Start CPR immediately while awaiting responder and emergency service.
