Chrism Mass in St. Muredach’s Cathedral (Blessing of the Holy Oils)

The Bishop has issued an invitation to the members of the Finance/Pastoral Councils to the Chrism Mass which takes place on Tues 31st March, 6.30pm, in the Cathedral, Ballina.

I would appreciate if you would inform me if you wish to attend.

The Bishop expects 8/10 people of the councils to represent the Parish on the night.

It is proposed that the Parish representatives would sit together at the Mass.

Ballycroy Care & Repair

We are in the process of setting up a database for handy men or women who wish to register for carrying out minor repairs for the elderly who live alone or the elderly who have no one to assist them.

By minor work it may be changing batteries in a smoke alarm, changing light bulbs, hanging a curtain rail or curtains etc.

Erris Children of Chernobyl annual clothing collection

The Erris Children of Chernobyl annual clothing collection will also take place in April contact Tisha @086-1735329 or Sarah @083-158-2426. 

The Erris children of Chernobyl voluntary committee are at present planning the 2015 rest and recuperation holiday for disadvantaged children from Belarus to Erris in July.  

As part of their on-going fundraising campaign they will hold their annual bucket collection in Belmullet and Bangor Erris on Holy Thursday next. If you have a spare hour to help out we would be very grateful. 

On Easter Monday  we are holding a walk of Cross Loop at 1pm. Sponsorship cards are available or an entry fee of 10 euro for adults and 5 for children under 16 on the day.
