Christian Unity Week 2015

Christian Unity Week runs from January 18th to 25th.

As part of that week of prayer for Christian Unity, Straide parish will host an Ecumenical Service at 8pm on Tuesday, January 20th. The guest speaker will be the retired Anglican Archbishop of Dublin, Most Revered John Neill. Archbishop Neill had, in the past, served for many years as bishop of Tuam, Killala and Achonry.

Bishop Brendan Kelly of Achonry and Bishop John Fleming of Killala will also be present on the night as well as ministers and guests from other Christian Churches within Tuam, Killala and Achonry.

All are welcome. Refreshments will be provided after the service

Foundation Fitness Classes for Men & Women

Foundation Fitness Classes for Men & Women in the Fr.Peyton Centre Attymass. Information evening on 28th January at 7.30pm.

Classes will be run on Wednesday night for eight weeks. Commencement date: 4th Feb at 7.30pm.

Duration for each class will be 45-60 minutes. Fee for eight weeks €40. Fee must be paid on first night or on the night of classes. Group Fitness is Fun.

Join up and have fun! Fun will be the theme.

The Fr.Peyton Senior Citizens group will resume on Tuesday 20th January

Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness Meditation: 6 week evening course with Learning to Exhale starts Monday 19th January at the Newman Institute, Ballina. Reduces stress, improves sleep, beneficial for anxiety and depression.

Sylvan Kelly Dance

Sylvan Kelly School of Irish Dancing presents their Children of Lir show at Ballina Arts Centre on Sunday 25th Jan at 3pm.

Tickets are €10 and available from 096-73593. Some local dancers will feature in this production.

Bonniconlon Hunt

The Committee thank all who took part and helped in the recent Hunt.

To all land owners, spectators, participants and anyone who helped in any way to make the day a success.

Organising a Welcome Home Week

A meeting will be held on Wednesday night at 9pm in the Community Centre to organise a Welcome Home Week.
