The Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock takes place on 17th May. The Ceremonies start at 2.30pm.

Mayo Roscommon Hospice

Mayo Roscommon Hospice is appealing for volunteers to help with National Sunflower Days for Hospice 5th & 6th June.

Gallagher House Open House

Annual Open Day at The Garden Centre, Gallagher House, Tubbercurry is taking place on Friday 15th between 9am and 5pm.

Large selection of bedding plants, shrubs etc available for purchase. Hanging baskets and window boxes made to order.

Evelyn Lynott Darts Tournament

The Darts Committee wish to thank all who participated, sponsored and helped in any way to make this years tournament a great success.

The amount raised for Rock Rose House was €3,180.00. Well done to all.

Community Games

Well done to all the children who took part in the Community Games Sports Day held last week.

The winners will now go forward to the county final in Claremorris on June 21st.

North Mayo Traditional Irish Music Summer School

This year’s Summer School will commence on Monday 6th July to Friday 10th July at a cost of €50 each and will be held in Killala National school 10am-1pm.

Instruments to be taught include fiddle, banjo, flute, tin whistle, traditional guitar, harp, accordion and bodhrán. Places are limited so booking is advisable.

Little Athletics

Ballina Athletic Club are starting a Little Athletics programme for 5-7 year olds on Monday 11th May from 5.30-6.30pm.

Tubbercurry Mens Shed

The Mens Shed meet every Wednesday night in their workshop and recreation room from 7-10pm located in the old boys school in Banada.

The group run workshops in woodwork, stained glass, willow baskets, cookery, health and safety and much more for its members. The group have a number of projects planned.

All men over 18 interested in being part of the shed are welcome to join. Enquiries can be made to Mary in Tubbercurry Family Resource Centre on 071-9186926
