Easter Ceremonies

There was a great turnout at the Easter Ceremonies in the Parish especially the Dawn Mass on Easter Sunday.

Sincere thanks to Fr.John Geelan and all who helped in any way, especially Fr.Pat Mangan P.E. May the blessings of Easter remain with you through the coming year.

Memorial Walk

Mayo Roscommon Hospice invite you to Walk in aid of a loved one and participate in the 5km memorial walk for local hospice/palliative care services in your area on Sunday April 19th. Contact 094-9388666

“Play On”

Phoenix Players are performing their 3 act hilarious comedy “Play On” by Rick Abbott in St. Brigid’s Hall Tubbercurry on April 15th at 8.30pm. Tickets available from Gillespies, Barry’s Pharmacy and Doohan’s filling Stations in Tubbercurry

Anti-Litter

As an Anti-Litter competition commences next week, the Village Enhancement Committee ask that dog walkers be aware of dog fouling as this is regarded as litter.

We appreciate your co-operation.

8km Run, Jog or Walk

An 8km run, jog or walk in aid of Gallagher House Services, Tubbercurry will take place from Kilmactigue Community Centre (beside playground) on Sunday April 12th at 1pm.

Registration will be from 11.30am on the day or pre-registration can be made before 4.30pm on Wednesday 8th April at 071-9120624 or by calling in to Gallagher House Garden Centre.

Clock timing on the day and refreshments will be served afterwards in the Community Centre. Cost per adult is €10. Everyone is welcome and your support will be greatly appreciated.

Bonniconlon GAA

Annual Club membership now up for renewal at a cost of €30. Also Mayo County Board Tickets on sale from all Committee Members at a cost of €100. Membership plus county Board Ticket guarantees an All-Ireland Football Final Ticket should Mayo reach the Final.

Bonniconlon Cemetery – World War 1 Plaque

A Comemeration Plaque in honour of the people of the Parish who died during World War 1 (1914 -1918) will be erected in the new cemetery in due course.

More research needs to be done before going ahead with this project. Anyone who has any information, or would like to help with the research.
