VMM is an international lay Catholic development organisation founded in 1969. VMM recruits, trains and supports skilled lay missionaries and volunteers with professional / technical expertise to work in areas of need in Africa, Asia and Latin America.
VMM’s overall purpose is to challenge, enable and support lay people to participate in the mission of promoting justice, respect and dignity for all.
Over the past year VMM has supported almost 50 lay missionaries working with 30 dioceses and other partners in 10 African countries on a variety of missionary and development programmes.
