Church Gate Collection

The Village Enhancement Committee would like to thank sincerely everyone who supported their recent church gate collection which amounted to €400.

VMM – Volunteer Missionary Movement

This weekend, March 14th & 15th we welcome to Bonniconlon parish a member of the Volunteer Missionary Movement (VMM) who are visiting parishes throughout the Diocese of Achonry during 2015 for Mission Promotion and Appeal.

VMM is an international lay Catholic development organisation founded in 1969. VMM recruits, trains and supports skilled lay missionaries and volunteers with professional / technical expertise to work in areas of need in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

VMM’s overall purpose is to challenge, enable and support lay people to participate in the mission of promoting justice, respect and dignity for all.

Over the past year VMM has supported almost 50 lay missionaries working with 30 dioceses and other partners in 10 African countries on a variety of missionary and development programmes.

To help support the missionary work of VMM a collection will take place at the parish masses over the weekend.

The Fr.Peyton Centre Holy Cross Family Ministries offers a time of prayer and reflection to honour St. Joseph and his apostle ,St.Brother Andre, CSC, The Healer of Montreal, on Saturday 21st March at 12pm.

Programme: Celebration of Mass, Reflection on the life of Brother Andre and St.Joesph, Light Lunch, Video on the life of Fr.Peyton.

GAA Skills Camp

Skills Camp will take place in the club pitch from Monday 30th March to Thursday 2nd April (Easter Break), From 10.00am – 12.30pm.,€35 per child.

GAA: ‘Chancin’ Ceili & Country Dancing

Tickets are now on sale for the ‘Chancin’ Ceili & Country Dancing on Saturday 21st March in the Diamond Coast Hotel from all the Committee Members & Underage Management.

A great night of dancing and craic with some super prizes on the night.

Anti-Litter Competition

The Annual Anti-Litter Competition (which we have had great success in over the past years) commences again in April.

The Village Enhancement Committee welcome any volunteers in helping to keep the village anti-litter and looking so well.

Carra National School Open Day

Carra National School invite you to their “Open Day” on Sunday 22nd March from 2pm to 4pm.

Experience the school’s facilities, the friendly atmosphere and enjoy the entertainment provided by the pupils. All are welcome.
