Tuam Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock

Tuam Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock. Archbishop Neary will lead the Tuam Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock on Sunday, May 3rd. The Ceremonies will commence with the Blessing of the Sick at 2.30 pm.

St. Colman’s College in association with Mount St. Michael are staging the musical “Oklahoma” on, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th April at 8pm in the Town Hall, Claremorris.

Claremorris Active Retirement

The Final of the Old Time Waltz competition will be held at our dance tomorrow, Monday 20th April from 9.30 p.m. until midnight with music by J & S Sound. All are welcome.

The annual 3 day trip will take place on June 9th, 10th and 11th, to the Villa Rose Hotel in Ballybofey, Co. Donegal. A booking fee of €50 (non-refundable) is required to secure a place. Further details can be obtained from committee members.

Bowling is in the GAA Complex on Tuesday 11.30am to 1.30pm, and Thursday from 2.30 to 4.30pm coaching available if required.

Aerobic Exercises on Wednesday from 11am to 12 noon, and Aqua Aerobics Thursday 11.30 am to 12.15 pm, both in the Leisure Centre Claremorris.

Claremorris brownies are recruiting new leaders. Full support and mentoring will be given. Anyone over 18 can become a leader. It’s an exciting time to join the guides as the new programme starts in September and we will also be working on the Free Being Me programme which empowers girls through improving body confidence and self –esteem.

The cycle has raised about half a million euro for the Breast Cancer research in U.C.H.G. over the past five years.

Irish Cancer Society’s Care

The Irish Cancer Society’s Care to Drive service is currently seeking volunteer drivers to drive local patients to and from their chemotherapy treatments in Mayo General Hospital.

Claremorris Men’s Shed

Claremorris Men’s Shed are hosting a “Spring Fair” – on Saturday, April 25th in the Dalton Inn Hotel from 11am to 4pm.  The Claremorris Men’s Shed will have a stall displaying their wide range of hand-crafted items for sale on the day.
