Junior Choir

Junior Choir invites new members to join. The choir is open to young singers, boys and girls aged 9-18yrs.

Auditions for new members will be held on Wednesday 17th @ 6.30pm before weekly practice.

Volunteers are required to help with the Youth choir at the rehearsals 7-8pm Wed. and for the vigil mass Sat 7pm. An interest in music with an ability to sing /help to direct our growing choir would be an advantage.

Peace Mass

Peace Mass Thousands will gather at Ireland’s National Marian Shrine to pray for Christians in Iraq and Syria on Saturday September 20th, the eve of World Peace Day.

A Mass is being offered in solidarity with Christians who are being persecuted for their faith and for all across the globe who are being deprived of their right to religious freedom.

The mass will be broadcast live at 3pm on Saturday 20th September via the knock shrine website http://www.knock-shrine.ie

Claremorris Active Retirement

Claremorris Active Retirement Dancing on Monday night is in The Dalton Inn Hotel, with music by J.& S. Sound. Dancing starts at 9.30pm. & all are welcome.

Bowling is on Tuesday from 11.30am. to 1.30pm. in The GAA Complex.

Aerobic exercises are on Wednesday from 11am to 12noon, & Aqua aerobics are on Thursday from 11.30am. to 12.15pm. in The Leisure Centre.

COE '14

COE '14 - the thirty-eighth Claremorris Open Exhibition will be officially opened by John Behan RHA, on Saturday 13th September at 8.30pm in the Town Hall.

All welcome. The exhibition continues until 4th October.  

Opening hours: Tues - Sat 12 - 5pm; Sun 2 - 5pm; Monday closed.

Cycle For Roisin

Cycle For Roisin: will take place on Sunday 28th September. There are two routes – 50km and 80km commencing at Swinford Amenity Centre at 9.30a.m.

Claremorris Swimming Club invites children who can swim to trial for entry to the swim club at club entry level.

Trials will take place on Sunday September 14th and 21st 2014 at 12 noon at the swimming pool.

Care Skills Module

Care Skills Module QQI (FETAC) Level 5 Care Skills Module will take place in the Claremorris Family Resource Centre, Mount Street - Commencing the 30th of September and will run for 5 weeks.

This module will include; Client Care skills, use of equipment with the care setting and application of client care skills. There is also Patient Moving and Handling training provided with this training.
