Harvest Thanksgiving Mass

Harvest Thanksgiving Mass 11th and 12 October.

Farmers, gardeners and home-makers are asked to bring in their produce to Church on Friday 10th or Saturday morning the 11th.

Any donations of turf, timber, crops, grains, fruit, vegetables, eggs, jams, home baking etc. would be greatly appreciated, and can be left at Our Lady’s Altar for display at thanksgiving masses.

All produce will be distributed in our community by St. Vincent de Paul.

You are asked to leave your donations at the back of the Church (on the right-hand side) before 12 o’clock on Saturday morning 11th October.

It would be greatly appreciated if all produce could be left until Sunday evening before collection.

Claremorris Active Retirement

Claremorris Active Retirement Dancing on Monday night is in The Dalton inn hotel, with music by Heart's Delight. Heats commence in the waltzing competition, the final will be held on St. Patrick's weekend 2015. All are welcome.

Bowling is on Tuesday from 11.30am. to 1.30pm. in The GAA Complex.

Aerobic exercises are on Wednesday from 11am. to 12noon, & Aqua aerobics on Thursday from 11.30am. to 12.15pm. in The Leisure Centre.

Day for Life

Day for Life is celebrated annually by the Catholic Church in Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales.

It is a day dedicated to raising awareness about the meaning and value of human life at every stage and in every condition.

This year’s Day for Life is on Sunday 5th October on the theme “Protect and Cherish Life #livelife”.

Volunteers required for Coder Dojo Claremorris. Basically what Coder Dojo entails is teaching children the basics of computer programming. Must have computer programming experience.

For anyone working in this type of area or students studying anything which entails computer programming it helps build up your skills (no better way to learn than to pass on knowledge).

The importance of Women's Voices

The importance of Women's Voices being heard in our Church' is the theme of an important meeting next SAT 11th Oct in The McWilliam Hotel Claremorris at 2 pm.

Kathleen McDonnell from Killaloe diocese will share why her group asked their Bishop not to introduce the male only Diaconate at this time in their diocese.

Fr. Gerry O'Hanlon, a well known Jesuit theologian, will talk about how Pope Francis is working to make the church more inclusive.

Discussion will follow. All welcome
