Baptism Reunion

A reunion of all babies baptised in 2013 in the parish of Kilvine will take place on Sunday 5th October at 3pm in Ballindine Community Centre.

All are welcome.

Confirmation will be celebrated on Wednesday 25th February, 2015 @ 12noon in Ballindine Church.

First Penance will be celebrated:

Ballindine: Tuesday 24th March 2015 @ 7.30pm

Irishtown: Wednesday 25th March @ 7.30pm

First Communion will be celebrated:

Ballindine: Saturday 16th May, 2015 @ 12noon

Irishtown: Saturday 23rd May, 2015 @ 12noon

First Communion Parent`s Meeting:

First Communion parents/guardians from Ballindine and Irishtown are invited to an introduction meeting on the “Do This in Memory Programme “on Tuesday 21st October @ 8pm in Ballindine School Gym, with facilitator Mary Connell.

Confirmation Parent`s Meeting

An information meeting for parents/guardians of children from Ballindine and Irishtown who wish to make their Confirmation next February, will take place on Wednesday 22nd October in Ballindine N.S. Gym, with facilitator Mary Connell.

First Friday Communion Calls for October will take place on Wednesday 8th October Irishtown 10.30am approx, / Ballindine 2.30pm approx.

Parish Cluster Meeting in Ballindine Community Centre on Thursday 9th October @ 8.30pm (upstairs)

Celebration of Marriage Anniversaries

A special Celebration of significant marriage anniversaries will be held in Tuam Cathedral on Sunday 19th Oct. at 3pm

At this ceremony there will be renewal of marriage vows, and each couple will receive a candle and Prayer Card in remembrance of the occasion.

Refreshments afterwards in St. Jarlath`s College –All welcome to attend.

Harvest Thanksgiving Masses 11th/12th Oct.

Farmers, Gardeners & Home-makers are invited to bring some produce i.e. turf, fire-logs, crops, grain, vegetables, fruits, eggs, plants, jam & home-baking (especially welcome) to the church before Mass.

Children from the Senior Classes in Ballindine & Irishtown Schools have also been invited to gather some produce for offering and to participate in these Masses.

Proceeds of the sale of produce after the Masses will be donated to the Roisín Tansey Fund.

Evening of Prayer at KNOCK SHRINE

Evening of Prayer at KNOCK SHRINE in honour of the Archangels on their feast day Mon 29th Sept.

Confessions 8- 9pm: in the Reconciliation Chapel.

9pm: Prayer will commence in the Parish Church with Chaplet of St. Michael followed by a talk on the Angels. 10pm:Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament. 11pm: Celebration of the Holy Eucharist.

Night conducted by Fr. Barry Horan.

Volunteer needed for Children`s Liturgy

Volunteer needed for Children`s Liturgy at 12noon Mass in Ballindine. Tel: 087-2555007. Children explore the Gospel in their own language & offer their artwork at the Altar during Mass.

Celtic Flames

Celtic Flames present a spectacular show of music, song, dance and story in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar on Friday 14th November at 8 pm.

Total proceeds will go to the Geraldine Lavelle Trust Fund. Geraldine, a native of Castlebar, suffered a spinal fracture as a result of a cycling accident which left her paralysed from the chest down.

DUNMORE COMMUNITY SCHOOL are now taking applications for our Post Leaving Certificate Course (PLC) in Business Administration -5M2468 Level 5 for the school year 2014-2015.

Modules include Word Processing, Database, Spreadsheets, Desktop Publishing, Communications, Work Experience, Business Administration skills, Book keeping manual and computerised.

On completion of the course some students progress to higher education opportunities while others enter the workplace. Mature students and school leavers are welcome to apply.
